Verbs
- Wrong
- Incorrect: I am agree with you.
- Right
- I agree with you.
- Rule
- "Agree" is a verb. Do not put am, is or are before it.
- 中文说明
- 很多人把 agree 当成 happy 那样的形容词，所以在前面加了 am、is 或 are。agree 本身就是动词，意思是“同意”，直接说 I agree。
Try it. Correct this sentence: She is agree with the plan.
She agrees with the plan.
Countable and uncountable nouns
- Wrong
- Incorrect: He has many homeworks.
- Right
- He has a lot of homework.
- Rule
- "Homework" is uncountable. It has no plural, and you do not use "many" with it. Use "a lot of".
- 中文说明
- 中文可以说“很多作业”“两份作业”，但英语的 homework 是不可数名词，没有复数，不能加 -s，也不能和 many 连用。可以说 a lot of homework。

Linking words
- Wrong
- Incorrect: Although it rained, but we went out.
- Right
- Although it rained, we went out.
- Rule
- "Although" and "but" both show a contrast. Use only one of them in a sentence.
- 中文说明
- 中文“虽然……但是……”常常成对使用，但英语里 although 和 but 只能选一个：Although it rained, we went out. 或 It rained, but we went out.
Try it. Correct this sentence: Although he was tired, but he finished the report.
Although he was tired, he finished the report. Or: He was tired, but he finished the report.

Is this an official certificate?
No. It is a study workbook. It does not give you a certificate or an official level. For a certificate, you need an exam from a recognised exam board.
Which level do I need?
A2 to C1. There is a pack for each level: A2, B1, B2 and C1. If you are not sure, take the free level test first.
Can I print it?
Yes. The PDF is A4 size. Print the whole book or only the pages you need. You can also read it on your phone.
Do I need an account?
No. After you pay, the download link appears on the next page. We also send it to your email.
How do I pay from China?
Use a Visa, Mastercard or UnionPay card that allows international online payments. Apple Pay and Google Pay also work. Alipay and WeChat Pay are not available yet. The checkout can show the price in your own currency.
Is the workbook in Chinese?
The rules and exercises are in English, at a level you can read. Each of the 60 mistakes also has a short note in Simplified Chinese.
